Recently refurbished and totally modernised, The Courtyard shows a sharp contrast from the external appearance of a sandstone villa built nearly 200 years ago, to that of a fully modernised minimalist modern interior. The 4 bedroom property exclusively occupies the entire garden floor of a beautiful Victorian villa. Screened from the neighbours by lush trees and old stonewalling, The Courtyard’s garden offers privacy and tranquillity. Guests can enjoy the garden with the use of extensive garden furniture, BBQ equipment and outdoor games.
Accommodation comprises of a large bright open plan kitchen with fully fitted modern appliances leading to utilty room with dishwasher, washing machine and tumble drier. From the kitchen access is gained to an open plan living and dining area with ample seating for 8 round the main table. This living space is equipped with a full range of both visual and audio technology and Wireless internet connection.
There is an assortment of sleeping accommodation in the Courtyard to suit each groups’ needs ranging from twin bedded to king size double and bunk bed. Each bedroom has ample storage and blackout roller blind and curtains are in place in each room.
Bathing facilities consist of 1 fully modernised bathroom with over bath shower and a separate, fully fitted shower room.
Lights are all modern recessed, low wattage bulbs. Hot water is instant and continuous fed through a combination gas powered boiler. Gas central heating throughout.
Cot, high chair, bed guards, baby bath and bottle warmer available on request. A wide range of outdoor garden toys are available for under 5s e.g. trampoline, sand/water pit, paddling pool, swing, slide, ball pool. We can also provide some indoor toys for under 5s if required. All of these items should be requested at the time of booking.
The Courtyard openly welcomes children and babies. We can provide a travel cot with bedding, highchair and other baby equipment . We have travelled extensively with our own two little lovelies (3 and 4 year old girls) and realise that suitcases weren’t designed to take the array of things needed for a baby or young child. So hopefully by providing a few essentials we can lighten your load before you even arrive!
We can provide a range of things to entertain children from toy boxes, books and dressing up boxes to garden play equipment (great for big kids too!) .

Garratts Leisure Club for guests of The Courtyard
If surfing in the sea is not on your wish list, perhaps a dip in an indoor pool or relaxing in a sauna is!
We have a corporate membership at the local, well established, private Garratts Leisure Club in Stirling and have arranged special rates for our guests. The club is only open to members and not to the general public.
It is an ideal wet weather venue or as a place to relax after a hard day sightseeing!
Admission charges to The Courtyard guests (at any time of the day, for any length of time). Passes bought from ourselves either before or during your stay at The Courtyard. Please note, that children are allowed entry between 2pm-7pm Monday to Friday and at anytime at weekends.

Please ensure to notify us in as much advance as possible if you will require a pass for Garratts. The charges above must be paid to us in advance and your pass taken to the Club to allow entry.
For those with children and babies, you'll find the club to be very child friendly and hopefully will prove to be a great place to take the family, knowing that the club welcomes children of all ages and has designed the pool area and the changing facilities with little ones in mind!
